Five Things You Should Know About Debbie De Louise

(Me at the Pioneer, the student newspaper at LIU/C.W. Post in the late 80’s)
Before becoming a librarian and an author, Debbie attended business school and worked as a secretary. When she went back to school, she worked as a secretary (and Feature’s Editor) on her college newspaper.
In high school, her favorite subjects and the ones in which she had the best grades, were in this order: English, Science, and Spanish. Unfortunately, she never kept up the Spanish.
When she was younger, she didn’t participate in a lot of sports, but she enjoyed basketball (although she wasn’t tall), badminton, and bowling (belonged to a few leagues).
Although she has been a lifelong cat lover, she had poodles and German shepherds when she lived at home with her parents. She always wanted a Scottish Terrier and a bunny (never had either).
Her least favorite subject was math except for business math and accounting. She tried her hand at crossword puzzles occasionally, but her real love were logic puzzles. She used to buy books of them.
